FITTING A HOLDING TANK: The previous owners had used a PortaPotti when inshore. Not for us. I wanted the simplest possible, maintenance free holding system. Gravity discharge worked well on our previous yacht. I have fitted a 20 litre tank into the cabinetry above the toilet, controlled only by the discharge valve beneath the hand basin. Perhaps not really big enough with more than two on board, but the simplest solution by far. ( Colin Moore)
On Transcend a similar holding tank has been fitted in the space behind the cupboard thus hiding it completely from view. Previous owner fitted it so do not know how difficult it was but neat and tidy. Clem Guildford)
